As I mentioned last week, after touring the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, OK, I was stunned to find the Bob Dylan Center located just down the street.  As the story goes, Dylan, who hailed from Minnesota and spent most of his career in the New York area visited the Guthrie Center which houses the collection of his folk legend idol.  He was so impressed with how the community of Tulsa was stewarding Guthrie’s legacy that he and his management team (who were secretly cataloging Dylan’s 100,000 item collection) chose Tulsa as the permanent location for Dylan’s archives as well.

If you’re not familiar with the impact that Woody Guthrie had on Bob Dylan’s music and career, I highly recommend you take in the film, A Complete Unknown, this week’s Movie Recommendation of the Week.
